Kids and tablets – I am constantly amazed at what can be achieved by the tiniest of tappers. With thousands of apps available though, how do we find the best value, most appropriate apps for our kids? Many households already own a tablet of some sort, but how many are actually used to support education? My guess (survey results are on their way) is, parents are overwhelmed by choice and don’t have time to go hunting for apps to suit their child’s interests and stages of learning… so they end up downloading one or two of the most popular games and miss a world of opportunity!

Based in NZ, the aim of this blog is to review quality apps that are relevant for pre school to early primary learners (the age of my in house testers). I’ll highlight things that are relevant to or developed in Australia or NZ and most importantly hunt down the best free or discounted apps.

I’d love your feedback and suggestions of Apps to review so we can grow this resource for parents who want to entertain and “Appucate” their kids.
